This database contains information such as associated tax parcel information, project ID, and the dates(s) to when a project has been approved. For information regarding the procedures and role of the Alachua County Development Review Committee, please visit the muncicode.com website and search for Alachua County Code of Ordinances, Chapters 401+402 (see website links below). This particular GIS point dataset (development_review_pts.shp) is derived from the DRC Growth Management Staff database. Using tax parcel information within the database, a centroid is calculated and produced as a record in the point database. Since only approved DRC projects are relevant, records are queried by their approved status. A project is deemed approved once its Development Plan Approval Date, Development Plan Revision Date, Plat Approval Date, or Revised Plat Approval Date has been met. The point dataset is further queried to only show projects which have been approved within 2008. Limitations to the dataset include; 1. Hyperlinks to DRC projects only with project numbers. A DRC project is assigned a project number based on the date it is first reviewed (see documentation for [PROJ_NO]). The corresponding image file name and hyperlink is based on this number. However, some DRC projects are reviewed as a matter of routine or are administratively approved, and therefore may not be assigned Project Numbers. These particular projects will not have hyperlinks to their development plans/plats. 2. Centroids based on parcels which are proposed to be subdivided. Each point is derived from centroids of parcels listed in the DRC database.
