Building Permit Tracker

Track detailed Building Permits info from 1979 to this minute. View comments from plan examiners and inspectors in real time, as they are entered into the system via phone or computer. Search by:

  • Permit Number
  • Parcel Number (example: 14557-000-000)
  • Address (example: 220 S Main St)
  • Owner or Applicant Name (example: John Smith)

When using the Advanced Search option, enter either a Permit #, Parcel #, Name, or an Address.
Using multiple search fields (e.g. entering a Permit # AND Parcel #) may hinder search results.

Planning & Zoning

Development Review

  • The 4/2 Development Review Committee hearing has been cancelled
  • All plan review of current applications, and comment reports will continue to be provided electronically as scheduled

Building Permitting

  • Issuance of all new building permits is suspended until Alachua County Emergency Order 2020-09 (Stay at Home Order) has been lifted, except for those required for construction related to this public health emergency. Applications for new building permits may be submitted electronically for review, but no new permits will be issued. Inspections for ongoing projects are possible, subject to certain restrictions, including the use of virtual inspections. All inspections must be scheduled by calling our offices at 352-374-5240. Any permits that expire during this time will be extended at no cost to the applicant.   • We have updated our current e-permit system to accept all permit types – no paper applications will be accepted until further notice
  • No owner/builder permit applications can be accepted at this time due to statutory requirement to appear in person and sign the required disclosure statement
  • All Pre-Application Screenings can be submitted online
  • We will continue to review plans that were submitted in the office, but any revisions or other required information must be submitted by email

Code Enforcement

  • The 4/2 Code Enforcement Board hearing has been cancelled
  • The 4/16 Code Enforcement Special Magistrate hearing has been cancelled
  • All Code Enforcement inspections unrelated to Amended Emergency Order 2020-09 for Alachua County are suspended until the Emergency Order is lifted.
  • Code enforcement complaints may be submitted online or by leaving a message at 352-374-5243 (option 2)
